SOUTH POINT — The victim of a stabbing has been identified as Jason L. Ellis, 36, 250 Township Road 1019, South Point.

Ellis was pronounced death on Thursday at Cabell Huntington Hospital after being driven there by his wife.

Ellis and his wife had been arguing, “which escalated into a fight. During the struggle the wife obtained a knife and Mr. Ellis suffered a stab wound,” according to a release by Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
