WESTWOOD, Ky. — Everybody got into the act.

The St. Joseph Female Flyers used a total team effort as they beat the Fairview Lady Eagles 57-47 on Tuesday.

“We got out in transition well and we got a lot of kids scoring. Our post players are starting to contribute more and that’s been good,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miller.

The Female Flyers (12-6) had four players in double figures. Lynsey Booker led with 14 points, Hannah Miller and Amber Neal scored 12 each and Bri Bridges added 10 points.

Bree Cornwell and Brittany Bell scored 13 each for Fairview (4-11).

Neal scored five to lead six different players in the first quarter scoring as St. Joseph jumped out to an 18-6 lead.

Booker had four points in the second quarter and St. Joseph built and 11-point lead. But Fairview had a 5-0 run to end the half and trailed 29-23 at the break.

Hannah Miller and Neal scored four points each in the third quarter as the Female Flyers extended the lead to 43-31. Meeks got five for Fairview.

In the fourth quarter, Bridges and Booker had four each. Cornwell hit a pair of 3-pointers and Bell also scored six points for the Lady Eagles.

“We just had good balance all night. We had four kids score in every quarter,” said coach Miller.

St. Joseph plays Portsmouth Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Tackett Body Shop Shootout at Ironton High School.
