Collins Career Center is currently accepting applications for its Emergency Medical Technician classes.
The classes will begin Feb. 3 and will run for 16 weeks.
“Collins is pleased to be able to offer courses to students that will prepare them as front line emergency medical service workers,” said Jamie Chaffin, director of post secondary education at CCC. “EMT’s are a criticalpart of the care of residents in the Tri-State.”
CCC offers EMT classes two times a year, and Chaffin says the program has been highly successful.
“We offer these classes along with our paramedics course yearly,” Chaffin said. “The graduation rate for EMT is 88 percent and our licensure rate is a perfect 100 percent.”
The 16-week EMT course load will cost $750 plus additional costs for books and uniforms. For more information call 740-532-7405 or visit www.collins-cc.edu.
