As part of the Ironton-Russell Bridge replacement project, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will close Campbell Avenue for two days next week.

Crews from Brayman Construction Corporation will close Campbell Avenue on Monday, Jan. 13, and Wednesday, Jan. 15, in order to take delivery of girders, or structural steel, which will be used in construction of the Ohio approach for the new bridge.

The single-day closures will be in effect during daytime, business hours, or from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the street open to evening and overnight travel.

Brayman Construction of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, was awarded a contract for approximately $81.3 million in 2012 to build a new Ohio River crossing between Ironton and Russell, Ky.
