Elections chair named to state board

Ironton attorney Craig A. Allen has been named a trustee of the Ohio Association of Elections Officials. The OAEO is an association of boards of elections from the state’s 88 counties.
The OAEO provides professional information on the operation of the election process to the Ohio Legislature and the Ohio Congressional Delegation. It also works with the secretary of state on the day-to-day operation of the election process.
Allen, who is a graduate of Denison University and The Ohio State University College of Law, is also the Democratic chair of Lawrence County Board of Elections.
He is married to Carol Allen and they have two daughters, Laura Southers and Kathryn Schueren and four grandchildren.
Allen’s term is for four years.
