RHLL board elections to be held Saturday

The Rock Hill National Little League will conduct its annual board elections at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the little league press box. Anyone who wants to be a boad member or vote must be present.

 

Special Needs plans benefit golf tourney

The Southern Ohio Special Needs Youth Sportsmen’s Network will conduct a benefit golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Diamond Links.

Cost is $300 per four-person team. Prizes will be awarded. There will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Browning pitching

camp in Marietta

The Marietta youth league will conduct a pitching camp featuring former Cincinnati Reds’ pitcher Tom Browning.

The camp will be from 1-to-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at the youth fields. The camp is for ages 9-18. Fee is $75. Interested persons should contact Mike Wagner at (740-373-3476.

Browning is the last Reds’ pitcher to win 20 games when he went 20-9 in his rookie season. He also threw the only perfect game in franchise history. He is currently coaching in the Reds’ farm system.
