Four charged for ties to break-in

Four Ironton residents were arrested early Friday morning in connection with the break-in of a garage.

Detective Joe Ross of the Ironton Police Department said officers received a call from homeowners in the 600 block of North Fifth Street who said two men were breaking into their garage.

Ross said the two men ran from the scene but were found at a residence next door.

Arrested were Frank Lewis, 30, and Carl Taylor, 20, both of Ironton. The men were charged with felony breaking and entering.

Also charged were Rhonda Howard, 43, and Bobbie Murrell, 21, also of Ironton. Ross said the two women lied to the police about the location of Lewis and Taylor. The women were charged with felony obstruction of justice.

The suspects will appear in Ironton Municipal Court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
