Female Flyers plan basketball camp
The Saint Joseph High School girls’ basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 6-8 at the school.
The camp will accept girls from any school in grades 2-8 for the 2013-14 school year. Camp fee is $20. Each girl will receive a camp T-shirt. Contact Nick Miller at (740) 547-9864 for more information.
SV boys, girls hoops camp set June 4-6
The Symmes Valley Vikings youth basketball camp will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 4-6 at the high school for any boy or girl entering grades 2-8.
Fee is $25 per player and $20 for each additional sibling. All players receive a camp T-shirt.
Players will be instructed by varsity boys’ and girls’ coaches and members of the team.
Registration will be from 7:30-8:30 on June 4. Checks should be made payable to SV Atheltic Boosters.

Senior softball 55up needing players
The Senior Softball League for ages 55 and older is seeking players for the upcoming season.
The games are played at the Chesapeake Senior Center field on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Ironton girls’ hoops camp set June 10-13
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ annual basketball camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon, June 10-13, at the Ironton High School Conley Sports Center.
The camp is open to any girl entering grades 3-9 as of this fall. Fee is $20 and each camper receives a cold beverage each day plus a camp T-shirt.
Checks should be made payable to the Tiger Clan. Applications are on the TigerTown.com website or at any city school.
Campers may register the first day of camp but are encouraged to register in advance to ensure proper shirt size. The camp is not limited to Ironton students.

All areas will be covered. All campers will be placed on a team for game competition and will participate at least 50 percent of the time. Two indoor gyms and outside courts will be utilized.

Tri-State Junior Golf adds new age groups
The Tri-State Junior Golf Tour will conduct its 31st annual event beginning in June.
The annual youth golf tour will add two age groups: 6-and-under and 7-9. The new groups will join the 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18 age divisions.

Football combine set for June 22 at IHS
The third annual Tri-State Rehab high school football combine will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, at Ironton High School.
Players will undergo tests and drills used at NFL combines and results will be made available to players for college purposes.
Fee is $30 by May 22 and includes lunch and guest speaker Roman Fry, former All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team selection and Outland Trophy candidate.
Fee is $50 after May 22. Checks should be made payable to Tri-State Rehab Services. Registration forms are available at Tri-State Rehab.

McCallister football camp set June 9
The McCallister Scouting Report underclassman football camp for players in the graduating classes of 2015 and 2016 will be held June 9 at Worthington High School in Columbus.

Chesapeake to hold youth hoops camp
Chesapeake High School will be the site of a youth basketball camp.
The junior high camp for grades 7-9 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 6-7. Fee is $25.

NIKE basketball camp set for Ironton July 8
A NIKE basketball camp conducted by basketball trainer Matt Wilson will be held for boys ages 9-17 at Ironton High School July 8-12.
Fee is $215 and campers will receive 23 hours of skill instruction in all phases of the game from NIKE trainers and coaches, official NIKE camp T-shirt, NIKE certificate and evaluation, NIKE prizes and drinks.

Tri-State coaches clinic at KDMC
King’s Daughters’ Medical Center and Marshall Orthopeaedics will sponsor a tri-state coaches clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, in the KDMC Health Education Center (lower level of the Lexington Ave. parking facility).
Registration is free to the first 50 people to register. Thereafter, the fee is $50.
Teaching areas are concussion assessment and management, injuries to the lower extremities, assessment and treatment of sprains/strains, heat illnesses prevention and treatment, enhancing strength and flexibility for athletes, and basic CPR training and re-certification.
Girls’ fastpitch
softball tourneys set
Girls’ youth fastpitch softball tournaments are being planned for June 14-16 at First National Bank Park, State Route 335, in Beaver, Ohio.
The tournaments are for teams in the age groups 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.
Entry fee is $350 and four games are guaranteed. Tournament is limited to the first eight paid teams per division. There will be three pool play games plus a single elimination tournament.
Awards will be give to the first and second place teams in each division, individual trophies and an MVP medallion for pool play games. Licensed umpires will be used.
