James and Claire Carper announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Breann Carper of Grayson, Ky., to Shawn Michael Watson, of Ironton.

The parents of the prospective groom are Jerry and Jane Watson, of Ironton.

The bride elect is a graduate of East Carter High School and Ohio Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in business management, and is employed by Melini Cucina Italian Restaurant.

The prospective groom is a graduate from Ironton High School and Ohio Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in education, and is employed by Dawson-Bryant Middle School and is Dawson-Bryant Middle School golf coach.

The couple will marry at 4 p.m. on June 29, 2013, at First Church of Christ in Grayson.
