The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers tuned their televisions to MTV on Thursday.

That’s McMackin plus Taylor equals victory.

Karlee McMackin and Meghan Taylor drove in two runs each as the Lady Tigers beat the Green Lady Bobcats 6-1.

Green (6-6) took a 1-0 lead when Jenna Crawford led off the game with a home run – her fifth of the season.

Ironton (9-4) tied the game in the second inning. Laken White was hit by a pitch, moved up on a passed ball and Taylor singled her home.

The Lady Tigers took the lead in the third on a two-run single by McMackin after Rebekkah Potter walked and White singled.

White doubled and Taylor singled to make it 4-1 in the fifth.

Ironton added a pair of runs in the sixth when Emily Davis singled, Saige Fields reached on an error and Potter drilled a two-run single.

Taylor was 2-4 as Ironton had seven hits.

Kassey Carmon went five innings to get the win with Potter picking up the save.

On Friday, Ironton visits Fairland and Green hosts East.
