AID — The Green Lady Bobcats were quite a hit on Monday.
The Lady Bobcats had 14 hits as they beat the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings 16-6 in a Southern Ohio Conference game.
“We hit the ball really well, especially in the third inning,” said Green coach Dale Royse.
Kayla McCallister and Devon Johnson were 2-3, Erin Imes 3-4 with a double, Sammi Crisp and Krashawna Jones 2-4 and Jenna Crawford smacked a home run as Green banged out 14 hits.
Cheianne Hivley was 2-2, Hannah Maynard 2-3 and Katie Hill homered to lead the Lady Vikings (2-4, 1-1).
“We left too many runners on base and we made too many errors. We can’t put it all together,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Jeff “Odie” Estep.
Green led 4-2 after two innings but erupted for nine runs in the third inning thanks to eight hits and five errors.
Johnson double and Crawford hit a two-run homer to highlight the third inning.
