Jesse Justice

Jesse Robert “Bob” Justice, 74, of Ironton, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at his residence.

The Ironton native was born Nov.15, 1937, the son of the late Lewis and Olive Collins Justice. He is survived by his wife Brenda Rogers Justice whom he married Nov.15, 1986.

Bob attended Hecla Schools and served as an acting corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps where he received the Good Conduct Medal. He retired as a laborer for the Dayton Malleable Iron Company and was a member of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the kids play sports and working in his garden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; his first wife, Vonetta Justice; a daughter, Brenda Lee; a son, Jesse Jr.; a grandson, Dalton Barnette; three brothers, Lewis, Donnie and Billy Justice and three sisters, Betty Russell, JoAnne Yates, June Morgan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Howard ElConin of Wisconsin; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Linda Justice of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Tom Fuller of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Jeff Adams of Ashland, Ky.; a daughter, Angie Atkins of Ironton; a daughter, Michele Barnette of Ironton; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and April Barnette of Lancaster; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Brett Burton of Columbus; a daughter, Holly Boggs of Ironton and her fiancé, Rick Harmon of Princeton, W.Va; a son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Kim Tibbs of Ironton; a daughter, Megan Swed of Ironton; a son, Cameron Barnette of Ironton; a daughter, Adara Barnette of Ironton; a daughter, Kailey Swed of Ironton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Janet Justice and Johnny and Lou Justice both of Ironton; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Long and the Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Randall Hackney

Randall Lee Hackney, 65, of Huntington, W.Va., died Thursday March 8, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 4, 1947 in Cannonsburg, Ky., the son of the late Clyde C. and Pauline Ramey Hackney. He was a musician and self-employed lineman. He is survived by his lifelong partner, Patty Keesee of Huntington; brothers, Carl Hackney, Pat Hackney and Glen Hackney all of Cannonsburg; sisters, Helen Hackney of Springfield, Mo. and Linda Hackney of Fallsburg, Ky.; children; grandchildren; and his dog, Toby. Graveside services and burial will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Cemetery in Cannonsburg, Ky. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home.

Susan Triest, 54, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville.

Connie Sue Miller, 52, of Ironton, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
