HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — Firefighters from several area departments were kept busy Saturday afternoon with a fire call at Dow Chemical in the plant’s fitness room.

Units from Hamilton, Elizabeth and Upper Townships and the village of Coal Grove responded to the 1:45 p.m. call.

A dispatcher for the Lawrence County 911 Dispatch Center said the fire had been extinguished as of 3:15 p.m., however, crews remained on the scene as of press time; therefore, additional details were not available.
