Chesapeake school on McDonalds donation list

CHESAPEAKE — Chesapeake Elementary School is on a list of area schools sharing $7,100 in the McTeacher’s Night fundraising program.

A team of teachers and staff from participating schools worked in the restaurants for two and a half hours, staffing different jobs including front counter cashier and drive thru order presenter.

McDonald’s employees assisted the teachers with their new jobs. A percentage of sales from each McTeacher’s Night fundraiser was donated to the respective school in recognition of their representatives’ hard work.

Also on the list of participating schools during the fall 2011 semester were Davis Creek Elementary in Barboursville, W.Va.; Central City Elementary, St. Joseph Elementary and Huntington Middle Schools in Huntington, W.Va., Oak Street Intermediate and Stanton Primary Schools in Portsmouth, Fallsburg Elementary in Louisa, Ky.; Carter Christian, Carter Elementary, East Carter High and East Middle Schools in Grayson, Ky., Olive Hill Elementary and West Middle Schools in Olive Hill, Ky., Crabbe Elementary in Ashland, Ky.; and Greysbranch Elementary in Greenup, Ky.

Schools interested in participating in McTeacher’s Night fundraisers should visit their local McDonald’s restaurant and ask to speak to a manager about the program.
