Bettie Church
Bettie Elsie Church, 84, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg.
The West Virginia native was born Dec. 10, 1927, the daughter of the late Ben Montgomery and Stella Vanderpool Bushbaum. She was the wife of James Edward Church who survives.
Bettie graduated from Ironton High School and was a homemaker and a member of the Russell Christian Baptist Church in Russell, Ky. She enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Eackelbary.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Sharon Posten of Kitts Hill; a granddaughter, Regina Singleton of Ironton; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Singleton of Ironton; a great-grandson, Timothy Singleton of New York, N. Y.; two sisters, Genevieve and William Neville of South Point, and Pam Stilton of South Point; five nieces and several great nieces and nephews.

Annabelle Hensley
ASHLAND, Ky. — Annabelle Hensley, 61, of Ashland, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011.
The Ironton native was born Jan. 8, 1950, the daughter of the late William R. and Eva McGlone Adkins.
She was a graduate of Ironton High School, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Adkins and William “Ray” Adkins and five sisters, Katherine Skaggs, Betty Imes, Mary Hay, Dorothy Adkins, and Lucille Bailey.
She is survived by a son, Mike Hensley of Ashland, Ky.; a daughter, Eva Hensley of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two sisters, Wanda Adkins of Ironton and Ruth Adkins of Coal Grove; a brother, Gary Adkins also of Coal Grove and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, with minister Rich Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Hanging Rock Cemetery. COAL GROVE — Emma Mae Blankenship, 96, of Coal Grove died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home.
