HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — A former Marshall University football player faces a February sentencing on a federal drug charge.
James Meeks pleaded guilty earlier this week to maintaining a residence for the distribution of heroin.
The Herald Dispatch (http://bit.ly/vfnYlg ) reports that the 33-year-old Huntington resident admitted he provided shelter to an out-of-town drug dealer to live, sell and store his heroin supply.
Meeks is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 21, 2012.
He was an offensive lineman for Marshall in 1998 and 1999 and quit the team in September 2000.
