PROCTORVILLE — King’s Daughters Medical Center is expanding its reach into eastern Lawrence County with the opening of a facility in Proctorville.

The new medical entity will add six new jobs to the local economy.

The new facility in the Kroger plaza, at 6276 County Road 107, opened Monday. The new location offers complete family care as well as specialized services for heart patients, including cardiac stress testing, EKGs, echocardiography, holter monitoring, ABI studies, laboratory draw, mobile mammography and the MyChart electronic health record.

Tammi Holbrook, coordinator of marketing and public relations, said KDMC draws patients from the eastern end of Lawrence County, so it only made sense to have a stronger presence there.

“Patients travel from all over the region to come to King’s Daughters Medical Center for care. To make obtaining the care they seek more convenient, we open centers in their communities. We chose to provide primary care and cardiology because that is where we saw the greatest need in Proctorville.”

Family nurse practitioner Jan Rule will see patients for their primary care needs 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. To schedule an appointment, call (740) 886-9867.
