Mrs. Lena Dawson announces the marriage of her daughter, Samantha L. Nelson, to Rodney A. Bostic. The couple was united in marriage on the evening of Aug. 27, 2011.

The bride is the daughter of Lena Dawson of Ironton and Ronald Nelson of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Maggie and Darrell Davis and Hilda Nelson and the late Jeff Nelson of Kitts Hill.

The groom is the son of Rodney Bostic of Ironton and Rebekah Ackison of Ironton and is the grandson of Betty and Fred Heighton of Ironton.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Rock Hill High School and Collins Career Center and a 2010 graduate of Ohio University Southern. She is employed as a pre-school teacher at the Lawrence County Early Childhood Academy.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Rock Hill High School and Collins Career Center. He is employed as a welder at Ashland Fabrication and Welding.
