Women looking for a source of inspiration can find it through a local church.
First Baptist Church of Proctorville is hosting a simulcast of women’s Bible study writer and speaker Beth Moore Saturday. A praise band led by Travis Cottrell will also perform. The event will be based in Lubbock, Texas and broadcast via the Internet to churches all over the world.
According to a post on the Living Proof Ministries blog, 731 sites are hosting this year. The sites are in 48 of the 50 states, Canada and a few other countries.
Moore said she feels a connection to her listeners.
“Somehow (God alone knows how) you lend a very personal touch, giving me the sense of a close sisterhood even among many unfamiliar faces in that group of participants,” Moore said on her blog.
Nancy Kitchen, Ladies Ministry Leader, said she has been to other simulcasts in the Huntington area and wanted to share the event with others.
“Ladies who already know God grow in their relationship and those who don’t know Jesus will have the opportunity to be saved,” Kitchen said.
Tickets are $20. The price includes lunch catered by two women from the church and admission to the event. Tickets can be purchased at the church from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or at the door.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until 5:15 p.m.
