Richard “Ricky” Joseph Collins, Jr., 26 of Louisville, formerly of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 29, 2011. The Lawrence County native was born Nov. 26, 1984, the son of Richard and Tamela Stapleton Collins.
Ricky loved spending precious time with his children, family and friends. He was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He loved to trade cars and enjoyed living life everyday to the fullest. He fought a courageous battle with multiple health issues and he will forever live in our hearts.
In addition to his parents, Ricky is survived by his beloved children Rylee and Tanner Collins; his paternal grandfather, Orville Collins; his maternal grandmother, Linda Stapleton; his brothers and sisters, Becky and Tommy Ghee, Tonya and Adam Myers, Melissa and Josh McKenzie, Heather and Brad Hinman and Jason and Dawn Collins; and a host of very special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty L. Collins; and maternal grandfather, Herald Stapleton.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home with Pastors J.J. Sherrill and Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8pm today at the funeral home.
