Anna June Nunley

Anna June Nunley, 88, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 27, 2011.

She was born Jan. 23, 1923, the daughter of the late Elbert and Chloe (Palmer) Bowman.

She was a member of the First Tabernacle Church, Ironton, and was in the choir and a member of the S.O.S. class. She volunteered for six years in the hospital auxiliary. She worked 14 years in the dietary department of the Lawrence County General Hospital.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Keating; one sister, Garnett Thompson and one brother, Elmer Ray Bowman.

She is survived by her husband, Dexter Nunley of Ironton; two sons, Larry Joe (Brenda) Keating of Ironton and Patrick Keating of Little Rock, Ark.; three grand children, Larry Keating of Ironton, Sean Keating of Ashland, Ky., and Vanessa Baugher of Sherwood, Ark.; and three great-grandchildren, Laiken Nicole Keating of Ironton, Hayli Rae Baugher of Sherwood, and Koen Chase Baugher, also of Sherwood.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Cremeans officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
