Charles Boggs

WILLOW WOOD — Charles Eugene Boggs, 62, of Willow Wood, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
On the morning the Lord called Charlie home to his side, with him was his wife, Rita Boggs, his kids, Juanita and Jared Porter, Charles and Amber Boggs, his ex wife, Ruth Lewis, his brothers, sisters, brother-in-law and nieces and nephews.
The Waterloo native was born March 17, 1949, the son of the late Henry Carl and Virginia Arbaugh Boggs.
He is survived by his wife, Rita G. Young Boggs, whom he married March 4, 1994.
Mr. Boggs attended Symmes Valley High School and was a former employee for Marion Power Shovel and Freidmans Metals. He was a member of Forest Ridge Church in Waterloo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Boggs and a sister, Mary Boggs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Jared Porter of Franklin Furnace; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Amber Boggs of Pedro; a step-son, Phillip and Lisa Lewis of Pedro; his grandchildren, Shelby Debord, Becky Debord, Katie Porter, Emma Boggs, Tucker Boggs, Santana Lewis, Phillip Lewis, Jr., and Selina Lewis; two brothers, Carl and Linda Boggs and Kenny and Nora Boggs all of Waterloo; a brother-in-law, Ben and Barb Young of Ironton; three sisters, Judy and Damer Yates of Kitts Hill, Carolyn Wiseman of Waterloo, Brenda and Carl Tredway of Scottown; numerous nieces and nephews; his ex-wife, Ruth Lewis of South Webster; good friends, Linda and Robert Higgins of Willow Wood; and a friend like a brother, Dave Clayton Willis of Coal Grove.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Mt. Pleasant Old Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Jiles officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Old Baptist Cemetery.
