Another man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a deceased woman’s home Monday evening.
Ironton Police Chief Jim Carey said Shane A. Jenkins, 20, of 360 Township Road 111, Ironton, was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary in connection with the incident.
This follows the arrest earlier this week of Jacob Jenkins, 20, of 610 Washington St., Coal Grove, who was charged with burglary and a parole violation and William D. French, 32, of 1577 County Road 52, Ironton who was charged with complicity to burglary.
On Monday evening — the same day as she buried her mother — the daughter went to her late mother’s residence and found people running away from it. She then found several items missing and called police.
The investigation uncovered information that led to the arrest of Jacob Jenkins and French and the recovery of the stolen items.
