Sheriff’s office

Juvenile assault — Chesapeake Middle School, Township Road 1025, Chesapeake Thursday, 12-year-old female student reportedly grabbed by hair, pulled to floor by 13-year-old girl. Other students reportedly had to pull assailant off victim, victim taken to nurse after suffering breathing problems.

Criminal damaging — 900 block Brown Street, Chesapeake Wednesday, back hoe damaged.

Breaking and entering — Township Road 205, Proctorville Wednesday, riding lawn mower taken from garage, suspect named.

Domestic — Union Township Wednesday, woman reportedly assaulted, detained from calling police, suspect found reportedly passed out in bed with .22 pistol, awakened and placed under arrest, fought with deputy, Sunney Freeman, 47, 2879 County Road 124, Chesapeake, arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic — Fayette Township Wednesday, man reportedly trying to gain entrance to residence, threatening occupant, Danny Christian, 29, 96 Private Drive 2306, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Theft — Township Road 1006, Chesapeake, CD player and two rings taken from vehicle.

Breaking and entering — Brian’s Barber Shop, 960 Brown St., Chesapeake, business entered, items taken.

Petty theft — Township Road 194 Proctorville, drill taken.

Theft — Private Drive 21, Upper Township Wednesday, four firearms taken from residence since May 1, possible suspect named.

Theft — Country Hearth Inn, South Point, laptop taken from room, possible suspect named.

Juvenile offense — County Road 1 at Commerce Park, South Point Thursday, two juveniles reportedly detained in area of recent break-ins, BB guns, tobacco and two toboggans confiscated, one taken to group home after deputy determined he had history of offenses, other juvenile issued summons and released to parent.
