Woman gets four years for burglary

A South Point woman was sentenced Wednesday to prison time for burglary.

Nichole Legrand, 30, of 104 Private Drive 3, Apt. 8, Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to the charge in Judge D. Scott Bowling’s courtroom in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Legrand was sentenced to four years in prison and ordered to pay $240 in restitution.

In other cases:

Darrell Carrico, 26, of 1215 S. Ninth St., Ironton, denied violating the terms of his community-controlled sanctions. A pretrial has been set for Wednesday.

Ihley T. Chambers, 30, of 1111 S. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to possession of criminal tools and possession of drugs. Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond and scheduled a pretrial for $20,000.

Jeffrey Moore, 26, of 45 Township Road 1210, Proctorville, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana, possession of criminal tools, possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments.

A pretrial is set for June 8. Bowling set a $25,000 recognizance bond and a $10,000 cash/surety bond.

Stephanie N. Wright, 26, of 1111 S. Seventh St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana and possession of criminal tools. Bowling set a $25,000 recognizance bond and scheduled a pretrial for June 8.

Christopher A. Frazier, 30, of 175 Aster Drive, Wayne, W.Va., admitted violating CCS by not reporting for his sentence at the STAR community justice program. Bowling sentenced Frazier to 11 months in prison.

Joseph Harmon, pleaded not guilty to aggravated drug possession. Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond and transferred a $5,000 surety bond in municipal court and scheduled a pretrial for June 8.

Benjamin Stafford, 30, of 1718 Lexington Ave., Flatwoods, Ky., pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering. Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond and transferred a $5,000 surety bond from a lower court. A pretrial has been scheduled for June 1.

Larry Miller, 36, of 5527 Township Road 1258, Proctorville, pleaded not guilty to importuning and sexual imposition.

Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond plus a $3,000 surety bond and scheduled a pretrial hearing for June 1.

Jason Parsons, 28, of Palm Coast, Fla., pleaded not guilty to possession of drug abuse instruments and aggravated possession of drugs. Bowling set a $25,000 recognizance bond and scheduled a pretrial for June 8.

Anthony Large of 2603 W. Second St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary. Bowling sentenced Large to four years of community-controlled sanctions that includes successfully completing the STAR community justice program.

Amanda Roberts, 23, of 2603 W. Second St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in marijuana. Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond and scheduled a pretrial hearing for June 8.

Andrea Applegate, 32, of 1718 Lexington Ave., Flatwoods, Ky., pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering. Bowling set a $20,000 recognizance bond and scheduled a pretrial for June 1.

Wilburn Pauley, 47, of 653 County Road 15, South Point, denied a CCS violation. Bowling scheduled a CCS trial for Wednesday.

Justin Jarvis, 27, of 70 Private Road 302, Township Road 308, South Point, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and drug possession.

Bowling sentenced him to four years of community-controlled sanctions and ordered that he undergo treatment for drug and alcohol at a residential facility.

Jessyca Fleming, 34, of 2528 S. 10th St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to four counts of felony criminal nonsupport of a child and four counts of misdemeanor criminal of a child.

In criminal child support cases, the State of Ohio typically files two counts for each child, one felony and one misdemeanor. Bowling set bond at $100,000 cash.
