LOGAN — Freida Mae DeNinno, 72, of Logan died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. The Flat Gap, Ky. native was born April 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Elza and Sophia Opal Kirk Salyer.

Ms. DeNinno attended Andis School, was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Lee DeNinno; two sisters, Paula Joan Jones and Lucille Hackworth; and a brother, Robert Salyer.

She is survived by a daughter, Freida Jo Carroll of Wellston; daughter, Leila Marie Wolfe of Lancaster; son, Mark Anthony “Tony” DeNinno of Logan; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elza Hager Salyer of Springfield and Charles Kenton Salyer of Eastman, Ga.; four sisters, Geraldine and Ray Johnson of West Alexandria, Deloris and Earl Smith of Coal Grove, Patricia and Elmer Riffe of Stockport, and Mary Vaughn of Beverly.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Todd Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
