Business moves to city center

IRONTON — An Ironton business is planning a grand opening at its new location in the Ironton City Center.

Twigs-N-Berries will host the grand opening from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The store sells primitive items among other things.

Owner Erica McKenzie moved the business from its previous location, which was also on South Third Street, in March.

“I like it,” McKenzie said of the new location. “The store is doing a whole lot better in the new location. There’s a lot more traffic coming in and out of the city center.”

The new space is a bit smaller, but none of the customers seem to mind, said Sharon Dixon, McKenzie’s mother who helps out at the store.

“Everyone who comes in likes it better,” she said. “They say it’s a cozier, welcoming feeling.”
