Colleen Martin, 86, of Ironton, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at a local health care center. The Buckhannon, Ky. native was born April 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Leonard and Minnie Jones Wilson.
Mrs. Martin attended West Ironton School and was a former custodian for First National Bank for 23 years, retiring in 1987. She was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret Hicks; and three brothers, Warren Wilson, Russell Wilson, and Donald Wilson.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia G. and John Thompson of Rapid City, S.D.; a son, Larry Ray Martin of Ironton; six sisters, Rozella Holshuh of Ironton. Hazel Boyer of Coal Grove, Clara Sturgill of Ironton, Edith Keys and Linda Woolum both of Columbus, Ella Neese of Greensboro, S.C.; a brother, Ray Wilson of Ironton; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hanging Rock Cemetery with Pastor Jerald Sherrill officiating. There will be no public visitation.
