BEAVER — The Green Lady Bobcats found things the same the second time around.
Green beat the Eastern Lady Eagles for the second time this season with a 5-2 Southern Ohio Conference win Monday.
“They’ve improved and it’s always harder to beat a team the second time,” said Green coach Dale Royse. “But we played pretty well.”
Jenna Crawford went the distance for the win as she gave up seven hits, struck out four and walked four.
Gidget Timberman led the offense as she went 3-4. Sami Crisp and Crawford each went 1-3.
Timberman singled, stole second base, went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Krashawna Jones and scored when Bre Johnson grounded out and it was 1-0 in the first.
Green (9-5, 5-3) got two runs in the second.
Crawford doubled, went to third on a passed ball and scored when Kayla McCallister grounded out.
Erin Imes then reached on an error and scored thanks to three passed balls.
In the third, Johnson was hit by a pitch, Dinah McCloud walked, a passed ball moved the runners up and they scored on a hit by Crisp.
Green plays at South Point on Tuesday.
