COAL GROVE — The Coal Grove Junior Hornets golf team improved to 11-1 with a quad match win Thursday.

Coal Grove had a 191 team score with Greenup County at 192, Vinson 216 and Russell 219.

Brent Morgan led the Junior Hornets with a 41 followed by Jacob Myers at 48, Cameron Meadows, Brandon Adkins 53 and Tori Holmes 60.

Morgan was the medalist for the 12th time.

In earlier matches, Coal Grove beat Greenup at the Ironton Country Club 189 to 190. Morgan shot a 36, Meadows 50, Myers 51, Adkins 52, McKnight 60 and Holmes 62.

Coal Grove took a match at Carter Caves by posting a 180 score to beat East Carter at 191 and West Carter at 200.

Morgan led the way again with a 38 followed by Adkins at 42, Meadows and Holmes each carded a 50, Myers had a 54 and McKnight 60.
