PINE GROVE — It was tee time at the tea room.
The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country began the new season with its annual luncheon at the Proctorville Tea Room.
After members spent time updating each other on events since the end of last season, the group began golf sessions while battling the inclement weather released by Mother Nature.
March’s opening day was hosted by Pat Lambert, this year’s chairman. The day began with a 9:30 a.m. meeting and included a pot luck luncheon to end the day in the ICC Clubhouse.
Officers for the new season are vice-chairman Nancy Livingston, secretary Joyce Lewis, treasurer Johnna Jones, historian Betty Fraley, calling committee Joyce Fields and Cecilia Woods, birdie/par tree coordinator Shirley Gleim, and tournament events coordinator Pat Riggs.
Fraley was recognized for her dedicated work with the club’s scrapbook and Gleim, a former member, was welcomed back to the group.
New members are always welcomed. The group meets on Tuesday mornings and continue weekly with hostess sign-up in the ladies’ locker room.
