God wants you to go to church

While studying for a sermon, this came to mind about what is happening in the world today.
There are games being played such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, and many other games, but the worst game being played is by “so called Christians” who have their name on church books around the country, but never attend church, nor do they think anything about what they are doing.
Do they not think that God is watching their “game” and knows what they are doing? You can fool people, you can say you are a “Christian,” but your walk in this life tells people what you are, and if you do fool the people, you can’t fool God, you see he knows your heart, and that you must be “born again” by the Spirit of God to be a true Christian, you will never be able to fool God, for he looks at the inward man, and if your heart isn’t right with him you are lost.
Being a preacher, nor deacon doesn’t necessary mean you are a child of God, for it’s God that looks at the heart, and in Matthew 7: 21-23 this is said of those, “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? and have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.”
Yes some of those are preachers, men and women not called by God who are preaching for their own glory, not for God.
Some may be deacons, some sunday school teachers, and so on that have their name on the church book, but its not inscribed in the “Lambs Book Of Life”.
Many who have their name on church books think they are OK just because it’s there, they have quit church, haven’t attended in years, and forget the passage of scripture that says in 2nd Corinthians 2: 17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” And Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the day approaching”
The problem with some of these is they think that God will accept them no matter whether they attend, nor what they do, nor whether they read his word or not. This is one of the “wiles” of the devil, he was a deciever at the first and will continue to decieve you through this life.
If this describes you then it’s time to get back into your church, repent of your sins and ask God to forgive you of your sins, this is no game that you can play and win with God, unless you are “born again” you will hear the same words that was told to the preachers who will stand and be condemmed to eternal punishment.
I write this because God wants you to be saved, Jesus Christ died for your sins and will forgive you if you repent (turn from your life of sin) and recieve him into your heart, and live for him. To live for him is to serve him, not cut grass, wash car’s, or stay home to watch sports, or do anything else when it’s time to be in his house to worship him.
You have a choice who you will serve, the scripture says you cannot serve God and mammon. you choose the wrong one and you are going to be the loser forever in a lake of fire.
