Domestic violence —Township Road 508, South Point, Feb. 21, woman reports her boyfriend threw her down and caused an abrasion on her head. Nathan E. Lawson, 28, of 97 Township Road 508 S., South Point, arrested and taken to jail.
Petty theft — 200 block of County Road 410, Chesapeake, Feb. 21, women allegedly took gaming system from Walmart and attempted to exchange it at Game Stop. Suspect named.
Felonious assault – 100 block of South Fifth Street, Feb. 21, inmate allegedly shoved a chair into an officer’s leg, resisted and fought with officers. Nathan E. Lawson, 28, of 97 Township Road 508, South Point, arrested.
Assault — 100 block of South Fifth STreet, Ironton, Feb. 21, inmate allegedly assaulted another inmate, resulting in the latter inmate needing medical attention and stitches. Suspect named.
Domestic violence — 900 block of County Road 123, Chesapeake, Feb. 22, man alleged his 13-year-old son began kicking walls and knocked him down after a dispute about the son’s laundry. Juvenile arrested and taken to group home.
Petty theft — 300 block of Private Drive 288, South Point, woman allegedly tried to write a check in someone else’s name. When it was declined, she allegedly left with unpaid items. Suspect named.
Assault — 900 block of County Road 60, South Point, Feb. 24, two students allegedly got into an altercation in the locker room at South Point High School. Juvenile arrested for assault and taken to group home.
Domestic violence — 200 block of Township Road 277, Ironton, Feb. 24, woman alleged her boyfriend threw a cup of water at her after a fight over rent. Rodney E. Payton, 30, of 260 Township Road 277, Ironton, arrested and taken to jail.
Felonious assault — 200 block of Township Road 1186, South Point, Feb. 25, woman alleged her boyfriend struck her in the head and arm with a broom. Roger A. McKinney, 45, of 223 Township Road 1186, Apt. 15, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.
Drug charges – Solida Road at Sand Road, South Point, following a suspicious vehicle call, officers find marijuana, digital scales, plastic bags, and a crack pipe in a vehicle. Christopher Talbert, 19, of 3587 Pine Ridge Road, Huntington, W.Va., arrested for possession of criminal tools, drug trafficking in marijuana, drug abuse and possession of drug abuse instruments, and Michael J. Adkins, 30, of 250 Damron Branch Road, Wayne, W.Va., arrested for drug paraphernalia.
