WESTERVILLE — Thomas D. Freeman, 68, of Westerville, formerly of South Point, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, in Kobacker Hospice House in Columbus. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Memorial Gardens. Tom was born Dec. 7, 1942, in Ironton, a son of the late Virtle and Virginia Pearl Beckett Freeman. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, was a retired superintendant at Ohio Operating Engineers, and was of Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Freeman; and one sister, Evelyn Walters. Tom is survived by his wife, Carolyn Geer Freeman; one son and daughter-in-law, Shayne and Lisa Freeman; two grandchildren, Luke and Paige Freeman; three sisters, Judy (Chuck) Howard, Barbara (Mike) Williams, and EmmaLee Henson; special in-laws that Tom was close to, Lynn and Susan Geer, Dale and Michelle Geer, Buck and Faye Gibson, Randy and Sherry Smith, Beverly Geer, Marjorie Geer, and Kathleen Freeman; and several nieces and nephews.
