BIDWELL — All River Valley needed was a break.

The River Valley Lady Raiders used a strong second half to beat the Coal Grove Lady Hornets 53-23 Monday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Alli Neville scored 20 points and Brooke Marcum 15 to lead the Lady Raiders (7-7, 3-3).

Ashley Adkins had 13 points to lead Coal Grove (3-9, 0-5).

The game started slow with River Valley leading 6-2 after the first quarter. The scoring picked up in the second quarter as the Raiders went up 20-13 at the break.

But after the break the Lady Raiders held Coal Grove to just 10 points in the second half as they began to pull away.
