Anna M. Blankenship

Anna M. Blankenship, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at a local health care center. The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna French Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Blankenship, who died May 13, 1993.

Mrs. Blankenship was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ironton. She spent all her life in Lawrence County.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son and his fiancée, Larry Blankenship and Judene Love of Ironton; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Noah Switzer of Covington, Ky.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Strawn officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net .
