Ex-Herd RB arrested on battery charge

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Former Marshall University standout Darius Marshall has been charged with domestic battery.
The 21-year-old was being held Sunday afternoon in the Western Regional Jail.

The Herald Dispatch reports that Marshall was arrested about 2:45 Sunday and charged with domestic battery in Huntington.
It was not clear Sunday whether Marshall has an attorney.
Marshall gained more than 1,000 yards for the Thundering herd in 2008 and 2009. He skipped his senior season to enter the National Football League draft in 2010, then returned to school after not signing with a pro team.
