SCIOTOVILLE — The defensive plan worked. It was the offense that didn’t.

The St. Joseph Female Flyers executed their game plan on defense but couldn’t find the basket on offense in a 42-23 loss to the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans Wednesday.

“Our kids played with a lot of effort and they played good defense. They executed our game plan on defense really well,” said Female Flyers’ coach Nick Miller.

“We limited (Meghan) Williams and (Toni) Lang, but they spread it around on offense and we just couldn’t score. We had some opportunities but didn’t hit the shots and we had some turnovers.”
