Open house scheduled at Ohio University Proctorville

The Ohio University Proctorville Center is hosting an open house Tuesday, Dec. 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for students interested in the Executive Series Business Management Technology (EBMT) program. Classes meet on Monday evenings from 5:30-9:20 p.m. Students enrolled in the program study management, finance, marketing, small business operations, government, planning and current computer applications used in the business setting.

“The EBMT degree is designed for professionals who are looking to advance their career through earning an associate degree.

The program courses are in blended format, meaning about 80 percent of the course work is online and the remainder is spent in the actual classroom, resulting in the perfect set up for busy working professionals,” said Ashley Swartzwelder, director of business technologies at Ohio University Southern.

The associate in applied business in Executive Series Business Management Technology degree (A.A.B.) provides students with the knowledge and technical skills necessary for entry-level management positions in a wide range of business environments.

The program is ideal for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and people currently employed who seek additional education and credentials for career advancement.

Once enrolled, students will be in a cohort taking business classes together each quarter. The group meets Monday evenings from 5:30-9:20 p.m. at the Ohio University Proctorville Center and online. Winter quarter classes include BMT 110 Intro to Management, BMT 170 Small Business Management, and BMT 200 Intro to Business Computing.
