Changed from murder following death of victim in bar fight

An Ironton man accused in the death of Eddie Thibodaux will face a first-degree involuntary manslaughter charge instead of murder. The Lawrence County Grand Jury indicted Dennis Clark, 38, of Ironton, on a manslaughter charge Tuesday following a special session that was called for the case.

Clark was originally charged with felonious assault after Thibodaux was found unresponsive outside the Marlow Grill on South Third Street in Ironton Nov. 11. The charge was later changed to murder when Thibodaux died.

If convicted, Clark will face three to 10 years in prison for the first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter charge.
