Glendon “Glen” E. Stevens

SANDUSKY — Glendon “Glen” E. Stevens, 77, of Sandusky, died peacefully at Stein Hospice Care Center surrounded by family following a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Ironton, Ohio, and graduated from Ironton High School in 1954.

Glen was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1955-1959 and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 83. He worked for Routh Packing for 28 years retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Schug) Stevens; son, Michael (Callie) Stevens of Greensburg, Ind.; three daughters, Pamela Stevens of Sandusky, Rebecca (Brian) Johnson of Logan and Lynda Elam of Sandusky; sister, Nancy Stevens, brother, Richard (Isabelle) Stevens of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Cindy, Kristen, Brandon, Anthony and Michael; and one great-granddaughter, Bailee.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents, William and Minnie (Newman) and his brother, William Stevens.

A private family service will be held in the family home. Groff Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
