ASHLAND, Ky. – Kathleen Mae Adkins, 81, of Ashland, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Lawrence County native was born May 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Leslie Calvin Kingery and Marjorie Kingery Boster. She was the wife of Clifford Adkins whom she married July 6, 1968.

Kathleen was the owner/operator of Kathy’s Hair World in Ironton and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Kevin Wilson; grandson, Danny Lee Salvage II; and a sister, Lucille Wilson.

In addition to her husband she is survived by daughter, Linda Gore of Ironton; daughter, Betty Roberts of Lexington, Ky.; son, Terry Adkins of South Point; son, Jack Wilson of Willow Wood; daughter, Cheri Adkins Prichard of Grayson, Ky.; sister, Maxine O’Dell of Gallipolis; sister; Wanoki “Chris” Wallace of Ashland, Ky.; sister, Rose Shepard of Zanesville; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Lee Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Okey Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net
