PROCTORVILLE — Fairland coach Dave Carroll likes playing a version of the game of “Where’s Waldo?”

The difference with Carroll is the game becomes more of a “Where’s Fisher?”

Moving from tailback to quarterback and sometimes even wide receivers, Fisher keeps opposing teams guessing and chasing him.

Fisher did that Friday night with 172 yards rushing, 102 passing, and caught three passes for 22 yards as the Dragons blanked the South Point Pointers 27-0 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Fairland (3-4, 2-0) led 6-0 at the half before getting its offense in gear in the second half.

“We changed it up and it worked well for us. We like to keep the other team’s defense guessing and force them to adjust,” said Carroll who had Fisher at tailback the first half and quarterback in the second half.

While the offense racked up 369 total yards including 200 on the ground, the defense held the Pointers to 150 yards with only one yard through the air.

“The defense did a great job. Our defensive line played a super game,” Carroll said of Adam Lee, Matt Campbell, Jonathon Holbrook and Brian Zirkle.

The Dragons went 45 yards in eight plays capped by Fisher’s 12-yard run to take a 6-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Fairland didn’t score again until 4:02 was left in the third quarter when Tanner Sowards’ 2-yard run capped a 78-yard, 9-play drive. Fisher ran for the conversion and it was 14-0.

Fisher hit Alec Warner with a 25-yard scoring strike to cap a 76-yard, 5-play drive. Warner’s conversion kick made it 21-0 with 9:59 left.

Fisher capped the scoring with an 18-yard run that ended a 61-yad, 5-play march.

Besides Fisher, Jon Baise was 6-of-9 for 67 yards as he played quarterback the first half.

Tevin Mitchell ran 11 times for 50 yards to lead the Pointers (1-6, 0-2).
