Charlie’s to sponsor women’s health day for breast cancer

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Charlie’s Harley-Davidson is sponsoring a Women’s Health Day at the dealership on Oct. 16 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m to raise money for breast cancer support groups.

Health information and screenings will be presented by the Huntington Internal Medicine Group (HIMG) and the West Virginia Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program. Proceeds of the event will benefit the Breast Cancer Network of Strength and the West Virginia Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program.

The event is free and appetizers will be provided at no cost. Flu shots will be provided for $25. Raffle tickets will be sold 3 for $5 for the chance to win a Bulova pink watch, items from the Harley-Davidson Motorclothes Pink Label, and donations from many local vendors. Charlie’s will also display the Motorclothes Pink Label line in keeping with the theme. Join Charlie’s for a day of information, fashion, food, and fun.

“We feel it’s very important to sponsor an event to inform women about health care issues and we’re excited to team up with HIMG to raise money for such a good cause,” said Dee Chapman, Motorclothes® Manager at Charlie’s Harley-Davidson.
