Lady Dragons roll past South Gallia

CROWN CITY — The number 13 was lucky for the Fairland Lady Dragons, but a black cat for the South Gallia Lady Rebels.
Fairlands exploded for 13 runs in the second inning and went on to rout the Lady Rebels 17-2 in five innings Thursday.
“We hit the ball really well again,” said Fairland coach Joe Auxier.
Sashe Burcham gave up just four hits to get the win for Fairland. She struck out eight and did not issue a walk.
Keri Pinkerman led a 15-hit assault for the Lady Dragons as she went 3-4 with two runs batted in and Stormie Spitzer was 3-3.
Keri Napier was 2-3 with a double and an RBI, Jaimie Phillips was 2-5 with two RBI, Haley Woodall 2-4 and an RBI, and Chloe Stanley 2-3 and an RBI.
Amber Bias had a double and drove in a run, Chelsea Stanley was 1-3 and Burcham 1-4.
Fairland (9-8) hosts River Valley Friday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
