She was born in Kitts Hill, Ohio, to the late Walter and Mary Miller Heaberlin. She had lived in Byron for the last 6 years after moving from Houston County where she lived most of her life.
She was the former owner of King’s Drive-In in Ironton. She was the long-time manager of Shoney’s Restaurant in Perry, Ga., and was also a culinary arts teacher at Peach County High School for years. A simple lady, she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.

Those left to treasure the memories of her are her children, David Craft (Toniese) of Fayetteville, Randy Craft of Macon, and Kathy Tidwell (Bill) of Byron; a brother, Bob Heaberlin of Warner Robins; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Perry Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Derry Oliver and the Rev. Wayne Dorsett officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Houston Lake Baptist Church, Westside Baptist Church, or Vista Care Hospice.
