ACTC offers March professional development classes

ASHLAND, Ky. — Ashland Community and Technical College is offering a variety of March non-credit learning opportunities. The classes are offered through two programs coordinated by ACTC’s Center for Community, Workforce and Economic Development.

Lifelong Learning provides enrichment classes for adults and children, with personal interest and professional development workshops for adults and skill-building classes for youth.

Workforce Solutions provides classes for continuing education and licensure certifications as well as customized courses and regulatory training.

Going Green – Where to Begin

Learn about the developing Green Movement and the “green” things that individuals and businesses can do to be more environmentally friendly while saving money.

The focus will be on conservation, adaptation and technological changes that can be made at home or in the office to save energy, reduce waste, recycle or reuse resources and reduce the carbon footprint.

Instructors are Tim McAdams, ACTC Assistant Professor of Electricity and John McGlone, ACTC Director of Public Relations.

The class will be held Tuesday and Thursday, March 16 and 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Technology Drive Campus in EastPark. The campus is located off KY 57 (the Industrial Parkway). which can be reached from I-64 at exit 179 or from US 23 one mile south of Greenup.
