Norma H. Nelson, 84, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, while at her home.
The Ashland, Ky., native was born Aug. 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Richard S. and Nina Rodgers Hulette.
Mrs. Nelson was a 1943 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a sales clerk at Profitts in the Ashland Mall and retired in 1989 from the A.M. International Business Machine in Cincinnati, where she was an administrative specialist. She was also a charter member of the South Point Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nina Moon and Dorothea Bentine and two brothers, Rodgers Hulette and Sam Hulette.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack V. Jr. and Donna Nelson of South Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally Maureen Arden and Mel Wood of Ironton;
four grandchildren, Brad Nelson of Ironton, Stephanie Hieronimus of Kitts Hill, Ambria Arden of Columbus, and Redgie Arden of Ironton; two step-grandchildren, Gretchen Hale and Gara Williams both of South Point and a sister, Gertrude Wilkinson of Ironton.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Woodland Cemetery with Minister Jim Williams officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
