DOROTHY BAZELL

Dorothy Bazell, 89, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
The Gallia County native was born July 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Irvin and Lilly Wagner Kerr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Bazell, who passed away Feb. 15, 2003.
Mrs. Bazell was a graduate of Cadmus High School. She was a former cook for Central Christian Daycare and also a former employee for Henrites Factory. She was also a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Bazell; and a brother, John Kerr.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Morgan of Dayton; a grandson and his wife, Bryan and Natalie Green of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Helen Phillips of Columbus; a cousin, Tom and Nancy Lewis of Ironton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Minister Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
