PROCTORVILLE — Philip R. Easthom, 64, of Proctorville, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
The Huntington native was born July 16, 1945, the son of the late Bernard William and Soloma Wallace Easthom.
He was a 1965 graduate of Symmes Valley High School. He retired from Owens Illinois in Huntington after over 28 years as a machine foreman. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Hobert and Donald Easthom and three sisters, Hilda Easthom, Emjean Adkins and Lillian Powell.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Lisa Easthom of Ironton and Shane and Tina Easthom of Proctorville; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Dana Glassburn of Bidwell; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Jackie Easthom of Silver Lake, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Cleo Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
